Peace of Mind: Insecurity

Many of us face emotions that rob us of our peace. Often times when we feel this way, we’re not prepared to feel those emotions. Many times these emotions simply overwhelm us because we don’t know who (if anyone) is safe to talk about what we’re feeling. Marital strife, depression, substance abuse, physical abuse, and suicide attempts have all increased in recent years. Mental health has surfaced as a major problem. But how do we treat such problems?


Oftentimes, we attempt to deal with our emotions with distraction, self-medication, or denial. But What if the Church could be the people that help erase the silence, shame, and stigma of emotional suffering by meeting people at their greatest point of need? What if I told you that God created such emotions … that they actually have a purpose … and the Bible actually prescribes help for those in such times of trouble? I believe He has and I believe we should be. Together, let’s seek Jesus in His Word and reclaim our “Peace of Mind”
