Take a look at what Spencer Christian Church and Spencer County, Kentucky has to offer...
Spencer Christian Church
Spencer Christian Church (SCC) is a non-denominational church in Fisherville, Kentucky born in 1997 from the Restoration Movement. By the blessing of the Lord, we have been able to complete three building projects, which have yielded a gym and fellowship area, educational wings, and most recently, a large worship sanctuary with balcony. We have also been blessed to open a school on campus that serves pre-school through eighth grade levels.
SCC is led by a team of five elders who support the church mission statement: ‘Changing hearts and homes through Jesus.’ Our aim as a church is loving and serving our community through making and growing disciples from our congregation of believers. SCC strives to be a place where people meet Jesus and engage in life-giving community. In an effort to achieve those aims, Spencer Christian currently has five full-time ministry staff members, three part-time ministry staff members and two full-time facility support staff members.
We currently offer two Sunday morning services, Sunday morning adult Bible studies, mid-week adult Bible studies, and children/student ministries on Sundays and Wednesdays serving infants through 12th grade. In addition to these offerings, there are numerous life groups that meet at our church or in their homes. Prior to COVID, church attendance ran around 700 on Sunday morning in-person and through live online platforms. At this time, attendance is around 500 each week.
God has blessed us with a beautiful campus and facility situated on a hill in the center of our county. The worship area has seating capacity for nearly 800. The gym is used for recreation, Sunday children's ministry, Wednesday evening meals and classes and more. We also have a park on the back portion of our property that has a .9 mile trail, sand volleyball court, 9 hole Frisbee golf course, and picnic/bonfire areas. We also have a large playground that is utilized by the congregation, the school, and the community.
